Short version: we collect as little as possible, and we don't sell anything we collect.
If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit — nothing else. Browsing the site or reading the report does not require giving us any information.
Your email is used only to notify you when the paid API launches or about material updates to Atlas. We do not sell, rent, or share it. Ask us to remove it any time at hello@402atlas.com.
We keep this minimal. If we use analytics, it's a privacy-friendly, aggregate measure (no selling your data, no ad tracking). This site sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click.
Since August 2026 our server keeps a short record of each request: the time, the path requested, the response status, the browser or crawler identifier (User-Agent), and the referring page. The visitor's IP address is truncated before it is written — we store the network block (for example 203.0.113.0), never the full address. Records are deleted after 90 days.
We use this for one purpose: to see how search engines and AI crawlers read the site — which pages they fetch, and whether machine-readable files such as llms.txt are actually being used. It is not used to identify or profile individual visitors, it feeds no advertising system, and it is never shared or sold.
We mention it here because we ask the services we audit to be straight with their buyers, and the same standard applies to us.
Atlas's own audit wallet and its transactions are public on the Base blockchain by design — that's how you verify our claims. Any payment you make to the paid API is likewise an on-chain transaction, public by the nature of the network.
